I’ve likely been in your shoes. I wanted to build my own site so I would know the basics, and save money, but I didn’t want it take months.
… which it did…
I knew all the information I needed was free on the internet… but where to find it? Who to trust? What order?
If you think that you can have a useful, functional simple website that doesn’t break. the bank, and that you can do the work yourself… You are right.
You don’t need to invest $3,000 in a professionally built site. You don’t need all the whistles and bells. You need a super simple starter website from which you can grow and learn. And you don’t need to wait any longer.
I’ve created a simple cost-effective process to get you a website that serves your present needs and can easily develop with you to serve your future needs. That’s why I work with WordPress.
I’ve made many decisions for you. Decisions that in the beginning are not worth the weeks or months of thought you would otherwise have invested.
I offer a simple drop-in course for 1 week, with rolling enrollment. This means that there is no set schedule for it, I just offer it when I have enough people express interest and I can take a week to hold it.
This is a live class, but online. I’ll create a pop-up closed Facebook group for all the students. I send out a syllabus the week before and ask you to handle just a few assignments before class starts the following Monday.
I’ll be live in the group from about 11:00 am (central time zone) to about 3:00 pm. I lead you step by step through that days agenda.
You may join me for the entire time or skip that day. This is your class. The video will be shared in the group afterward. So if you cannot join us, the only thing you will have missed is the ability to ask me any questions live.
However, I check back often and if you leave a question in the comments of the video or start a new post, I’ll get back to you.
This group stays open for 3 weeks after the class closes. And for that 3 weeks, I’ll be checking back often.
I’m pretty easy to connect with elsewhere, though. So fear not; you can still ask for help or share your success.
At the end of this course, you’ll have a simple starter website and the knowledge of how to make changes and maintain it.
My goal is to keep this simple.
After you have your site built and published, you can make some decisions as to what you’d like to change. There may be some things you’d like to try.
There is so much personal growth and clarification that goes along with building a website. Whether it is for personal expression or a professional platform, I am excited to see you succeed.
If this is something you think you’d like to do but have questions, drop me an email at any time. Or a voicemail if that’s easier for you. Leave me a good text message number as I respond at odd hours.
If you don’t have any questions and just want to be notified of the next class schedule, send me an email with “course schedule” in the subject line.
Are you ready to build your own simple Website?
Awesome! I’m here to help. I’ve got a couple new classes about to form. Get yourself on my mailing list and as soon as I get a schedule made, I’ll shoot you an email and you can sign up for the class convenient for you.
**** had a sign up form here***
Great! You’ll hear from me soon… but not too soon. Honestly, I’m just not that organized to immediately send you a welcome email, but I’m working on that.
In the meantime, get to know me. Poke around my site. Make some notes as to what you like and what you don’t. And poke around other sites, too.
We’ll talk about your notes in class.
If you have any questions, please drop me an email or leave a voicemail (button on the side of the website. Enter!
